Why are you not a hipster?

because i actually, really do like heavy metal. and i'm really shy. hard to be hip when you can't hang out with a bunch of hip people!

Whew....

I am too old to be a hipster (don't they die at 32 or something?).
I too sing Karaoke...and sing ABBA Karaoke.
I have a job that isn't in some sort of computer related marketing and networking field.
I don't spend hours in front of the mirror making sure my trucker hat is just so on my glam shag (and that my Paul Oakenfold pimp glasses match perfectly).
I drink PBR AND decent beers and hard booze, neat.

Those are a few reasons off of the top of my head.

1. i dont have outfits
2. i liked modest mouse when they werent a scence icon status neccesity
3. i liked johnny cash since i was little amongst other things such as ac/dc, ABBA, willie nelson,etc.
4. i dont have a click that i can be seen with on every friday night at some stupid hipster dance party
5. i though paul frank was stupid when i saw that shit back in 99

1. Like many of you, apparently, I too genuinely like AC/DC. And I don't mean that in an "I listen to 'You Shook Me All Night Long' when they play it on the radio for the umpteenth time" sort of a way, but an "I own ten of their studio albums and one live album" sort of a way.

2. I didn't know what "Von Dutch" meant until I started this tribe.

3. I have absolutely no fashion sense.

4. The first concert I ever went to was a Billy Joel concert - and I went with my parents.

5. I drink PBR, Schlitz, Brubaker, and so on - when I can't afford anything better.

6. I don't feel the overwhelming drive to constantly declare my peers to be poseurs - which is usually a sure sign that you're a poseur yourself.

i am a hipster. yes, it's true. i have shaggy hair, which i never wash. i like any band with the word "mouse" in it (modest mouse, mouse on mars, etc.). my parent buys me everything, i pay for nothing.

'cause I remember when punk rock degraded into suburban white kids too lazy to learn to play their instruments and i am not excited to see the same ideals applied to the visual arts.

'cause i find ugly chic to be, well, ugly.

'cause i thought modest mouse sucked when i saw them in 1991, and they've just gone downhill from there.

'cause i don't believe skunk patterned hair and tattoos somehow makes you any less of a spoilt rich kid.

'cause i actually like sex.

but most of all, i am not a hipster:
