Bumbersnoot, the official bread and circuses of the Jet City is winding mercifully down. As usual, a number of hot-at-the-beginning-of-the-year R&B acts of varied quality were booked to run betwixt and between the diminshing (law of returns) "indie" (read: too much daddy's money and resultant lack of motivation to interact with mainstream community) acts..most of whom are deliberately high-tailing it to Portland---as you can read in the STRANGER's official guide to the thinger. They top it every year w/ bands that were playing the local casinos within the past 9 mo.---or, a last min. draw, like the Stooges last year. This year it was.......Steve Miller. Hip enuf? The promoter, One Reel, had a fantastic HUMOROUS rep. for years. What went wrong, Seattle.... Too much money and not enough sense?
